ELI MOON KILLMEINMYSLEEP

Eli Moon’s new single ‘killmeinmysleep’ captures the sense of claustrophobia and anxiety that has risen up in people throughout this year. It hasn’t been easy for anyone and as the South London crooner tells us through his work, it’s important that we try to use our experiences to connect with others who may also be struggling. "I wrote and produced ‘killmeinmysleep’ from the bedroom in my childhood home. The song is an introspective expression of the both the inner turmoil I face everyday with not wanting to deal with people and the self-sabotaging results of that behavior. With all that’s going on in the world today, I think it’s fair to say we have all found ourselves feeling claustrophobic and out of touch with reality and if this song can help ease the tension for just one individual, then I have done my job,” as Moon candidly shares. Over lofi, reverb-heavy guitar, Moon sings of restless nights and states of depression while reaching out to the anonymous listener, “is anybody out there?”, in the hope of finding solidarity. Combining his lofi style with brooding poeticism and contemporary RnB finishes, Eli Moon’s refined signature is all over ‘killmeinmysleep’. - Hannah Thacker
